1. Introduction
This privacy notice for Mannadiar Media Pvt Ltd ("we," "us," or "our") describes how and why we might collect, store, use, and/or share ("process") your information when you use our services ("Services"), such as when you download and use our mobile application (Spin Wheel) or visit our related websites.
Spin Wheel is a decision-making app. You create wheels of options and spin them to pick one at random. Reading this notice will help you understand your privacy rights and choices. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our Services.
2. What Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
Your wheels, lists and themes. The wheels you build, the options on them, and the colour themes you create are stored on your device only. We do not upload them, we cannot read them, and they are removed when you uninstall the app.
AI prompts. If you use the AI features to generate a wheel or a colour theme, the short description you type (for example "quick vegetarian dinners" or "underwater ocean") is sent to our server and forwarded to Google's Gemini API to produce a result. We keep a temporary cache of these requests, keyed by the text itself, so that repeating a request costs nothing. Prompts are not linked to your name, email, or any account, because the app has no accounts.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
A device identifier. The app generates a random identifier the first time it runs and sends it with AI requests. It exists so that free AI credits can be counted per installation and so that abuse can be rate-limited. It is not your advertising ID, not your phone number, and is not tied to your identity. Clearing app data or reinstalling produces a new one.
Usage and diagnostics. We use Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand which features are used and to receive reports when the app crashes. This includes device model, operating system version, app version, general region, and the sequence of screens and actions leading to a crash.
Advertising. We show ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use data as described in Google's own policies, including an advertising identifier, in order to serve and measure ads.
3. What We Do Not Collect
- We do not ask for or store your name, email address, or phone number.
- The app has no sign-in, no user accounts, and no profiles.
- We do not collect your precise location.
- We do not access your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or files.
- We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
4. How We Use Information
- To provide the AI features — your prompt is needed to generate the wheel or theme you asked for.
- To count free AI credits — the device identifier lets us grant a fixed number of free generations and top them up when you watch a rewarded ad.
- To prevent abuse — rate limiting and app-integrity checks stop automated scripts from running up costs on our AI provider.
- To fix problems — crash reports tell us what broke and where.
- To improve the app — aggregate usage tells us which features matter.
- To show ads — advertising funds the free version of the app.
5. Legal Bases We Rely On (GDPR / UK GDPR / Canada PIPEDA)
If you are located in the EU, UK, or Canada, we process personal information only where we have a valid legal reason:
- Performance of a contract — processing your AI prompt is necessary to deliver the wheel or theme you asked for, and to count the credits it costs.
- Legitimate interests — diagnosing crashes, preventing automated abuse of our AI provider, and understanding which features are used, provided these do not override your privacy rights.
- Consent — where required in your region, personalised advertising is shown only with your consent, which you may withdraw at any time through your device's Google settings.
- Legal obligations — where processing is required to comply with the law or a lawful request.
6. When and With Whom We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone except the service providers listed in the next section, who process it on our behalf in order to make the app work.
We may also disclose information where required by law, in response to a valid legal request, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
If our business is transferred or merged, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. You will be notified of any such change.
7. International Data Transfers
Our servers are located in India. The Google services we use (AdMob, Firebase, Gemini) process data on infrastructure located in the United States and other countries. If you are in the EU, UK, or another region with data transfer restrictions, your information may therefore be transferred outside your country. These transfers rely on the safeguards Google puts in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.
8. Third-Party Services
The following services process data on our behalf. Each has its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to read:
- Google AdMob — advertising. policies.google.com/privacy
- Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics) — usage analytics and crash reporting. firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Google Play Integrity — confirms the app is genuine and unmodified before it can use AI features.
- Google Gemini API — generates wheel options and colour palettes from your prompt. policies.google.com/privacy
9. Data Retention
On your device: your wheels, lists and themes stay until you delete them or uninstall the app.
On our server: we retain the device identifier, your AI credit balance, and a record of credit movements for as long as the installation is active, so that credits are not lost between sessions. Cached AI results expire after seven days.
Analytics and crash data: retained by Google according to Firebase's own retention settings, typically up to fourteen months.
10. Your Choices and Rights
- Delete everything on your device — uninstalling the app removes all your wheels, lists and themes permanently.
- Reset your identifier — clearing the app's data through Android Settings generates a new device identifier. Note that unused AI credits are tied to the old one and cannot be recovered.
- Opt out of personalised ads — Android Settings → Google → Ads → "Delete advertising ID" or "Opt out of Ads Personalisation".
- Request deletion — write to us at the address below and we will delete the server-side record associated with your installation.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal data under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA, including rights of access, correction, and erasure. Contact us to exercise them.
11. Children's Privacy
Spin Wheel is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
12. How We Keep Your Information Safe
Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS. Our server stores no names, emails, or payment details. We take reasonable technical measures to protect the limited data we do hold, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
13. Controls for Do-Not-Track Features
Most browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") setting. No uniform technology standard for recognising DNT signals has been finalised, so we do not currently respond to them. If a standard is adopted, we will update this policy accordingly.
You can, however, limit ad tracking directly on your device: Android Settings → Google → Ads → "Delete advertising ID".
14. California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, the CCPA gives you the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to request its deletion, and to know whether it is sold or shared. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA, and we have not done so in the preceding twelve months.
Because the app has no accounts, the only server-side record tied to your installation is a random device identifier and its AI credit balance. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by a revised "Last Updated" date at the top of this page, and will be effective as soon as it is accessible.
